I find it hilarious that Lyle Ritz

contributed to the movie The Jerk

Having met this man,

that’s the last thing you would ever call him

I find it adorable that he played on

You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling

I am certain that The Righteous Brothers knew full well how

much love he exudes

I find it interesting that the greatest living jazz Ukulele player

Thumped his way into our hearts via TV and radio

I find it sad that America did not throw its arms around you

When in your delicate honesty, you asked us How About Uke?

I found it hopeful to hear a kid say these words recently…

“This is a tune I learned off a Lyle Ritz record.”

Note: Lyle Ritz was inducted into the Ukulele Hall of Fame June 22nd 2007 at the Portland Ukulele Festival.
